South Korea is seeing a lot of new drugs being developed by companies to treat altitude sickness, according to a new report.
The report, published online this week, is aimed at helping to curb altitude sickness in young men.
“By improving blood flow to the lungs and the lungs’ capacity to absorb oxygen, we can slow down the progress of this treatment for altitude sickness,” the Korea Food and Drug Administration said in a news release. “In addition, we are looking at other new treatments for altitude sickness and how these could be improved in future clinical trials.”

NHS England is not alone: some men suffer side effects from taking prescription erectile dysfunction pills.
In a new report from the UK, NHS England has found that more than half of men experience some form of sexual dysfunction within the first three months of using a prescription, although it’s not clear how many have also had an underlying condition.
The findings, reported on Wednesday, come on the heels of a study in 2017 which found that men with erectile dysfunction were twice as likely to take Viagra, compared to those who didn’t.

She said: “There is a need to investigate how these erectile dysfunction drugs affect men’s sexual function and to determine if the effects of the drugs could be more pronounced.”
